Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information Clay County Court Docket may receive when a visitor uses the resource, how that information is handled, and when another service may process it. Using a page or an included search tool means the visitor accepts the practices stated here.

Information You Send Directly

Search Queries

When a visitor enters a party name or case number into a search tool displayed on this resource, the entry is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and returns its result. Clay County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or other message sent to the operator is kept long enough to respond and maintain the related business record. It remains within the operating team and is not shared outside that team unless a legal obligation requires disclosure.

Information Collected Automatically

When a page loads, ordinary server and analytics systems may receive technical details about the visit, such as:

  • The IP address assigned to the visiting device
  • The browser and browser version in use
  • The device type and operating system
  • The pages viewed and the time spent on them
  • The referring site, when one is supplied
  • The date and time of each page request

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies may be placed on a device to help measure visits, popular pages, and points where visitors leave. Analytics services can aggregate that traffic information. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although some site features may work differently after that choice.

How That Information Is Used

Information received through ordinary site operation may be used for the following purposes:

  • Keeping the resource available and improving load performance
  • Forwarding a submitted search request to the selected provider
  • Learning which pages are useful to visitors
  • Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may be relevant to a visitor

No Clay Court Records Stored Here

Clay County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Clay County dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general routing information about the Superior Clerk, Probate and Magistrate offices, Fort Gaines Municipal Court, Georgia Courts, and the available provider layer. The official case record remains with the court or clerk that keeps it.

Georgia's Open Records Act, O.C.G.A. §§ 50-18-70 to 50-18-72, governs access requests directed to public custodians and addresses inspection, copying, and exemptions. That law does not make this privately operated resource a Georgia public agency or the custodian of a Clay County court record. This resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or reports about other people.

Outside Search Providers

Search tools shown on some pages are operated by outside companies. Information entered into one of those tools is handled under the provider's privacy policy and retention practices, not this policy. Those companies determine what they retain or share, so the provider's policy should be reviewed before a query is submitted.

Links to Other Services

Clay County Court Docket links to county offices, Georgia Courts, the Superior Court provider, city resources, and other outside services. Following one of those links leaves this resource, and the destination's privacy policy then controls the visit. Read the destination policy before providing personal information.

Some advertising partners may track activity across different sites for advertising purposes. That tracking is performed on the partner's systems, not by this resource.

Who May Receive Information

Personal information is not sold. Depending on how a visitor uses the resource, information may be available to:

  • Search providers that receive a query submitted to their tool
  • Analytics services that measure traffic and performance
  • Advertising networks that place or measure advertisements
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal process requires disclosure

Security Practices

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information collected through the resource. No internet-connected system is guaranteed to be secure. The operator works to protect visitor information, but cannot promise that a security incident will never occur.

Visitors Under 18

This resource is intended for adults, and the operator does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor's information has been provided, the operator will review a request to remove it and take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your Data Rights

The Georgia Open Records Act applies to records held by public agencies and courts, not to private-site data held by this resource. No Georgia privacy statute is asserted here as a basis for access to private-site data. Depending on where a visitor lives, another applicable privacy or consumer-protection law may provide additional rights. Requests the operator will review include:

  • Asking what personal information is held about the visitor
  • Requesting correction of information that is inaccurate
  • Asking that information be deleted when retention is not required
  • Objecting to or opting out of certain data uses where applicable

Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be revised as the resource or its data practices change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date. Visitors who want to follow those changes should review this page from time to time.

Effective date: August 20, 2026
